Our First Concert
Katrina & Rita Benefit Concert
On Friday, October 14 th, 2005, Homegrown Praise presented their first concert, a Katrina & Rita Hurricane Benefit, at the San Diego First Assembly Church. Raising thousands of dollars before an enthusiastic audience, the event featured national recording artists Scott Wesley Brown, Whiteheart’s Billy Smiley, Charles Billingsley & Joi Bowling, Evangel & M.O.R., Duena Watkins, and Motivo. Each artist donated their time for this momentous occasion, where evacuees were introduced, as well.
